Solving The Problem
About The Opportunity
The opportunity that I saw was in banking. Since the release of smartphones, banks have released their mobile apps to provide a better, more personalized experience to each individual customer. Banking apps allow customers to access account balance, view statements online, edit their account information, deposit checks electronically, and more.
Since not every app is the same, some other bank apps are more intuitive at these tasks, but compromise in others
And, security is critical in banking, and also hard to administer in electronic devices. Too often are what we once considered secure networks hacked, and information stolen, without no trace of the attackers.

Instead of having separate bank apps with different features, different levels of accessibility, and different levels of security, why not have one banking portal that manages all of this for the banks?
My idea is to work closely with banks and their development teams, to make a banking portal that has the most useful features available not just to one or two banks, but to all of them.
And since now all information would pass through one common place, encrypting it is easier, and more uniform. This can further increase security.
And since customers would have an account for the portal, sending money to relatives or friends becomes much easier, as does transferring money between accounts. This would allow for all customers to accomplish the same tasks in the same way despite having accounts with different banks.
And to make every bank's interface independent of each other, the banks decide the overall design for them, while still following the global guidelines. To make the switching process as smooth as possible, there can be an quick-transfer feature, where you set up a PIN or password with your bank, and enter it into the portal to speed up the verification process
Opening other accounts either with the same bank or with different banks would also be easier, since all your information is already in the portal, you can auto-fill applications with non-sensitive information(so not your SSN, for example).
Hey Carlos! I love this idea since I can never seem to navigate my bank's mobile banking app smoothly. How do you plan to profit off of your idea, and how do you plan to bring banks aboard? I'm sure plenty of banks will say that their apps are just fine and turn you away. How will you make them believe that this is a smarter choice for them and their customers?
